3.5 months pushing 4

Yet again I have put this blog on the back burner. Now that I am back to work, time is very limited around here and very precious so it is spent with you, Daylynn. By the time I pick you up from daycare and get home we have a little play time, then eating, then a quick nap (this is when mom goes to work out) then bath, more play time, another bottle to top you off and bed time. It never seems like enough time and it really stinks! I look forward to the weekends that's for sure!
This past weekend I was very lucky to get to spend 4.5 days with you because of conferences. We had lots of fun, it was amazing! Now we have Storm Q, as the weather channel is calling it, coming so we got out early yesterday and a snow day today! That is one awesome perk to my job, I love snow days, even more now that I have a beautiful little baby to spend them with. I really am not a huge fan of the snow anymore but I definitely look forward to building snow men and making snow angels with you Daylynn when you're a little older.
Let's see, lots has changed since I last updated, you shouldn't be surprised since its been forever since I've updated. You will be 4 months in 2 weeks . Hard to believe. I often find myself looking back at pictures of you when you were a few days old.
You have grown so much both physically and intellectually. You are sitting up on your own, with us holding anyways, almost rolling over (if it weren't for that darn shoulder), getting stronger and stronger arms and legs, loving the Johnny jumper, starting to lose that Chub in your cheeks but are wearing 6 month stuff because your legs and arms are too long for 3 month. You are getting so smart too. You love to look at yourself km the mirror and flash those smiles at yourself, and anyone for that matter, you know exactly who mom and dad are, you recognize faces through face time, you chat and tell us stories all the time, you can grab things and try to shove them in your mouth (I think you are starting to teeth).
wooo is your personality coming out as well! You're so stubborn and have quite the sassy attitude that's for sure. I can be stubborn at times but you get your temper from your dad. Mom has to put up with two hot heads, oh brother :). If you are awake or wake when I go to work out you normally scream the whole time because you want mom. You also get really ticked when you have to wait for your bottle to warm up. The other day I stood you in front of the mirror and you were just yelling and stomping that foot of yours, it was pretty darn cute. You also get real mad when your favorite bal won't go in your mouth :) and your tethers just aren't cutting it either. The majority of the time, if we need to calm you down we prop you in your recliner, your high-chair seat that can recline, and turn on golf or basketball. You love watching sports. This is great bonding with your dad.
(I am having issues moving ictures around on my phone and ipad so ignore the unorganizedness :) )
Swimming!

valentines

(My friend Kristin told me she hopes Daylynn is sweet like me because she is afraid her daughter on the way is going to be like her (she can be fiesty at times but an amazing friend :) ) and she knows Daylynn will be her friend at least, but I'm afraid my little girl is going yo be the stinker and her little one will be the sweetheart :) Just teasing, they will be great friends regardless!
We have one real big change, you are now on soy formula. In past posts I have mentioned your extremely congested nose. Turns out you have a cow milk allergy. We have been on soy for about 3 weeks. You had another bad ear infection so we wondered if maybe your medicine just made your nose better or if it really was the formula so we tried the old formula again and yep, it's the formula! Your nose isn't completely better but for the most part it is, thank goodness! We are so glad to have our spunky girl back!
Some fun events over the last month:
You went swimming for the first time! It was too cute! Of course they don't have baby suits out yet so we used a onsie and they didn't have little swimmers yet so we used one of Aidens (he wears size 4 or 5) so it went up to your armpits. It was hilarious! The water was rather chilly, especially since we like hot baths, but you did good. You mostly snuggled to my chest so you stayed warm. I enjoyed it! This summer we will be swimming lots!
You met your great aunt Karen and uncle Dave. They loved you and you loved them.
Love bug day!! Mom had half a day so she got you early and we spent the afternoon at school and made a delicious dinner for dad. He is the best, he got mom a card from you and it made me cry! You got him one too that he loved. It was a fun family night! Some very exciting upcoming events, Your aunt Jess and cousin Addi are moved back to Kansas!!! Yay! I am so happy you get to grow up with your cousin!
We are making our first big trip to Iowa/Illinois over Spring Break! Your family wants to meet you and that will be good timing with Aunt Jess and Addi to come too! It will be a long week for daddy since he won't be joining us ':(
You are such a joy to be around, always entertaining us and we can't get enough of you! Love you so much little love bug!
