12 Weeks

Ohh punkin you are getting so big!! Today we met with a new possible sitter for this fall and she asked how old you were and I had to double think...12 weeks, today! Holy smokes!

You have had an eventful few days! We went for your check up with your new doctor yesterday...

You weigh 12 lbs 6 oz and are 23 1/4 in long!! 75th percentile baby! Your dad says you are going to be an athlete for sure!!  As long as your happy, we will be happy! Also at your check up, they decided to start some breathing treatments.  You have still not gotten over your congestion in your nose since before Christmas.  We were very happy to hear that we could do something more than what we have been doing.  We hope this helps and gets you breathing better real quick like! You've been so congested that you had to sleep in the swing for a few nights, as long as you were sleeping I was a.ok. with it!  Then a few nights ago you slept on your BACK, yes your back! for 6 hours!!! That is a huuuuuuge milestone you made! I'm so proud of you!!! Last night, however, was not so good! Your poor nose was plugged all night, nothing was helping and you couldn't hardly sleep even in the chair.  We had to do a steam shower at 3:30 in the morning!! Mama was tired, as I'm sure you were too.  It breaks my heart and makes me cry knowing there isn't much I can do to help on top of what we already are doing.  Someday you will know how to blow that gunk out :)

We get your shots on Friday and I am extremely nervous! Your pretty much 3 months and you should have gotten them at 2 months but better late than never I suppose :)  I am sure I will cry with you, dreading these!!

Let's see some new things you are doing and new events:

• Grabbing at things near you.  Your favorite is my necklace and scarves.
• Chewing on your bibs, spit rags, and anything else you can get your hands on (including your hands)
• You are quite the chatter box and we LOVE it!! I look forward to picking you up and getting to hear about your day!
• All your big gummy smiles!! Especially when I pick you up! You know exactly who I am and it is the best thing ever!
• The new giggles and noises you make...yesterday you squeeled with excitement!  Absolutely adorable!
• Outgrowing your clothes! We are moving on to 3-6 month clothes! Getting way too big!
• You are ALMOST rolled over on your own.  When you get mad its the cutest thing, you roll to the side and try soooo hard to get over on your belly but your shoulder stops you.
• You LOOVE bath time! This is great because you've been getting them almost every night with your stuffy nose!
• You are a happy baby when we wake you up but not so happy if you wake up on your own.  I'm not the most morning person either so its ok Daylynn!
• You still do pretty awesome in the car.  I wish you'd go to sleep every morning on your way to Daycare, makes leaving a little easier when you are sleeping so you don't watch me leave.
• You got to meet your Cousin Lesly and Aunt Mary.  That was exciting! You were feeling pretty good that day so we got you dressed up in an adorable outfit and hit the town!
• You are a pretty great sleeper for the most part other then a few nights where you are so plugged up you can't breathe.  Otherwise you sleep for a good 8 hours! That is extremely nice for mama!!
• You love to be standing up or sitting up.  You can now rock the bumbo which is amazing! (Have I told you to stop growing yet?!)

We are enjoying every single second with you Daylynn! Your dad and I remind ourselves every day how lucky we are to have you in our lives and can't get enough of you! We love you so much words can't even explain!!

Get feeling better little miss!! We're ready for our happy baby to not be stuffy and breathe normal again :)

OHHH Daylynn, momma is so sorry she slacked on your updates. 

You will be 10 weeks in 3 days! Extremely hard to believe how much you have changed in these past two weeks! It almost makes me sad how big you are getting! 

9 to almost 10 week recap...

This was a huge milestone for us, you started daycare! This was probably way more difficult for mom compared to you. Monday was one of the hardest days of my life. Mom bawled her eyes out. Not only did I call to check up on you at my break, I went to visit you on my lunch :) Of course you were content and playing. 330 didnt come fast enough! Day 2 was a bit easier, and I thank you for sleeping when I drop you off so see yas are not as hard. Not looking forward to the day you are awake :( I visited you on day 2 as well. Day 3 and 4 mom just called both breaks. Dont think I didnt want to come see youbecause believe me I did, but it is harder the second time going back to work. You do pretty well. Not terribly fussy but at times you are, youre only 2 months so thats normal. You hate sleeping on your back (I let you sleep on tummy) so naps are rough during the day. I am glad you get to take a snooze in the swing sometimes. This however helps you sleep awesome at night. You were sleeping  pretty good a few nights before you started daycare which helped mom get sleep before starting a new schedule getting up at 5 ahhh! Your new sleep schedule is going down about 10 and sleeping until 6 or so. This lets mom get ready then you. So far so good! You are starting to try to sit up or lean forward. goodness are you strong! It is amazing!We sat you in the bumbo without a pillow propping you up. You also love your play mat. You get those legs and arms a swinging and it hits your toys which makes noise! You are so fascinated! You also loooove your bath. I wonder if you will be a swimmer how fast you move your legs and arms. You are a very entertaining little girl! You were finally over your cold for the most part until the past few mornings Ive gotten a bunch of gunk out of your nose, and you came home with a ucky cough yesterday. You just dont know how to get it out after coughing poor baby! We might have to go back to the swing tonight to help drainage. Mom is real stuffed up again too. Being around other kids will do that to us. I hope ot gets your immune system super strong! We went to another basketball games of your Aunt Nicholls and you did great. You dont like the buzzer so much but it is kind of loud so cant blame you there. Right now were back at grandma and grandpas to celebrate uncle Jakes and Aunt Alexs bdays.

8 weeks/2 months

Happy New Year to you my baby girl! You are now 8 weeks old and almost 2 months! I think it would be quite alright if you stop growing so quick! You are now 11 lbs 9 oz and 21 3/4 in long (as of last Wednesday). Speaking of last Wednesday, you had to see the doctor because you unfortunately you have a cold. It bothers dad and I more than you we think, because you are still pretty happy. You were so stuffed up you would only sleep in your swing at night, but you still slept awesome so whatever makes you happy and helps you sleep :)

Your first Christmas was a success baby girl! You got a ton of things and you cant even open gifts :) your dad and I helped you. You spent lots of time with family which was fun. This past weekend we came back to Wamego so mom could go bridesmaid shopping with your other "aunt Jess". Mom didnt watch the weather so we stayed another day so we didnt have to drive in the blizzard back. No need to risk getting in an accident when we have a few days still. We would have been in bed by midnight anyways but we sure miss your dad! I am glad you are at least with me because we go in to my class Wednesday to get ready for me to go back to work :( Mom is absolutely dreading that. Ahhh I dont want to take you to daycare but it will make the evenings and weekends even more fun when mom and dad love on you even more! Im going to be a big cry baby come next Monday. :( You will do great, I hope.

Hmmm lets see you lately have been grabbing for things, love your bath just not when we get you out and dressed, follow us out of the room, talk a lot, smile and giggle a bunch, sleep great normally (will help mom esp. going back to work), still eati.g good, play time is more fun as well. You are just a growing like a weed. We are starting to see your personality. You sometimes fuss and need to be walked. I think you may have your dads temper we will see.

Overall you are a pretty great baby and adore everything about you! Bring on 2013 and watching you grow even more! Love you so
